April 13, 2011 Part 2

Aim: Students will create a timeline including major events in American History from each unit of study.


Task 1: Review the Events from United States History.


(Once you click on the link you will have to scroll down until you find the United States History section.)


Task 2: Write down one or two major events from each section. Include a brief description of the event and the year that it occurred. You may have to do a google search to find the year that some of the events occurred. I did the first one for you.


Ex. 1740's The Great Awakening-A movement led by Jonathan Edwards who encouraged the spread of religious values and influenced the political movements of the time.

Task 4: Once you have a list of all of your events (Approximately 12 events). Go to TimeToast.

Create an account and make a timeline using the events you found.

Task 5: In order to receive credit for your timeline you must email me the link to your timeline. Please use "Timeline (Your First and Last Name)" in the Subject Line of the email. Don't forget to copy and paste the link in the body of the email. Ask a teammate or myself if you need help with this step.


HOMEWORK: Timeline must be submitted no later than 10:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Folder with all 7 assignments completed and in order due Friday.
